Envolve brings FU-TOURISM closer to Athens’ innovation ecosystem through an event connecting tourism startups and entrepreneurs
The event brought together startups and innovation stakeholders to exchange views on the challenges facing tourism entrepreneurs, sustainability, digitalisation and access to business support.
Athens, 30 May 2026. FU-TOURISM partner Envolve Entrepreneurship organised an event in Athens bringing together startups, entrepreneurs and members of the local innovation ecosystem to discuss the needs and challenges of tourism businesses and the role that European support programmes can play in helping them grow and innovate.
Envolve brought a strong tourism and entrepreneurship dimension to the event, inviting tourism startups and other organisations from its network, including Vivestia, and creating a space for exchange between actors from the tourism and innovation ecosystems.
Participants exchanged views on some of the main challenges faced by tourism startups, the support they need to develop their businesses and the importance of networking and partnerships within the innovation ecosystem. The discussions also addressed environmental sustainability and digitalisation as important areas for tourism entrepreneurs and innovators.
By connecting FU-TOURISM with Athens’ wider startup and innovation community, the event contributed to sharing the project’s experience beyond its direct beneficiaries and encouraging exchanges between tourism SMEs, entrepreneurs and other innovation stakeholders.
The event was held in the framework of PANATHENEA and StartYourNightUp (SYNU) events for entrepreneurs and startups
